Mets centerfielder makes great catch but Marlins walk off, a breakdown
What Happened
New York Mets centerfielder Khalil Lee makes a spectacular catch in the bottom of the ninth inning, but the Miami Marlins rally back to secure a walk-off victory. The game is tied 1-1 as Mets pitcher Drew Smith takes the mound. The first two pitches to Marlins batter Jesus Aguilar miss the strike zone, making it a 2-0 count. Aguilar then swings hard at the next pitch, sending a deep fly ball to center field. Lee races back and makes an incredible over-the-shoulder catch, securing the ball just before it hits the ground. The Mets dugout erupts in celebration, with Smith pumping his fist in excitement. However, the Marlins are not done. With two outs, Garrett Cooper steps up to the plate against Smith. Cooper fouls off a couple pitches before finally getting ahold of a slider and sending it deep into the outfield, just past the outstretched glove of the Mets first baseman. This ignites a rally, and the next batter, Jazz Chisholm Jr., steps in. Chisholm works the count before crushing a two-run, walk-off home run to right field, giving the Marlins a thrilling 3-1 victory. As Chisholm rounds the bases, his teammates mob him at home plate in celebration. The smallest Marlins player, who refers to as the "littlest guy on the team," attempts a Gatorade celebration but misses most of his teammates. Jazz Chisholm Jr. then comes over and gives the player a proper ice bath to complete the walk-off win. The Mets-Marlins matchup has been a close and competitive rivalry this season, with both teams battling for position in the tight National League East division. This dramatic ninth-inning finish is just the latest chapter in what has been an exciting season series between these two clubs. swing at that, didn't get it. Same thing, big swing, sends it into center field.
Janeswi makes the snow cone grab, comes up, celebrating.
Look at this. Oh, did he catch it? He did. It's very interesting because,
you know, that ball, how did it stay so secure when it slammed against the
ground? But everyone's super excited. He's fired up. Yeah! Fuck yeah, baby!
Drew Smith is fired up. Clap, clap, clap, clap, clap, clap, clap, clap, clap, clap,

stroll. Doesn't chase the fastball there. He's hunting out that slider. Gets it. Sends it

Throws up the threes. Two -run walk -off bomb for Koopaloop in
Miami. Why are they wearing those uniforms? I should have done the research. Throws his
helmet up. Now we're gonna get a god -awful Gatorade dump here. Look at this.
The littlest guy on the team trying his hardest and does the whole cooler and
just misses everyone. Just one of the worst Gatorade dumpings of the
season. And it kind of spoils the whole thing. You know, arrrr!
Koopaloop. Get off me! He's excited. Doubles machine. I
don't know if that's true, but he played like four games on the Yankees. So
I saw those and I thought, yeah, he's got a good gap -to -gap swing.
Chisholm. Jazz makes up for it. He says, dude, you know, you deserve a real
proper ice bath. Here you go. And you know what you can do? You can
listen to the Chris Rose rotation because he's got Miguel Rojas from the Marlins
and Trevor May from the Mets as co -hosts on his show. And they may
