Fans were stunned by this NFL wild card weekend, a breakdown
What Happened
In the fourth quarter of the AFC Wild Card matchup between the Buffalo Bills and the Jacksonville Jaguars, the game is on the line. The Bills trail by four points with just over a minute remaining. On third and one, Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen (Buffalo Bills) attempts to push his way over the goal line, but the officials call for a measurement. After a brief review, the ball is marked just short of the first down marker. Undeterred, the Bills go for it on fourth and inches. Allen is once again met at the line, but he stays on his feet and is carried into the end zone for the game-tying touchdown. The officials initially rule it a score, stopping the clock, before realizing Allen was actually down short of the goal line. This results in a 10-second runoff, which the Jaguars choose to accept rather than use their final timeout. On the next play, Allen takes it in himself for the go-ahead touchdown, putting the Bills up by three with just over a minute remaining. The Jaguars have one last chance, but a tipped pass is intercepted, sealing the victory for the Bills. In the NFC Wild Card matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and the Philadelphia Eagles, the game is tied early in the fourth quarter. The 49ers run a trick play, with a handoff, reverse, and then a deep touchdown pass to tie the game. However, a roughing the passer penalty on the Eagles defense negates the score. Later in the quarter, the Eagles drive downfield, but another questionable roughing the passer call gives them a first down. They settle for a field goal to take a one-point lead. The 49ers respond with a methodical drive, capped off by a Christian McCaffrey (San Francisco 49ers) touchdown run to make it a four-point game. The extra point is missed, keeping it a one-score game. In the final minutes, Jalen Hurts (Philadelphia Eagles) leads his team downfield, completing several key passes to move the chains. With time running out, Hurts hits A.J. Brown (Philadelphia Eagles) for the game-tying touchdown, and the extra point is good to give the Eagles a 31-30 lead. The 49ers have one final chance, but their last-second Hail Mary attempt falls incomplete, and the Eagles hold on for the victory.

Click timestamps to jump to that momentWildcard weekend set an NFL record with
three games being decided by touchdowns
in the final two minutes. And there was
good stuff from the other games as well.
So, I've combined the wild card games.
I've scrubbed through the fourth
quarters of them. And this is some
things you probably already saw because
football's popular, but new angles
different spins. Here we go. It's
brought to you by DraftKings. We're
starting with the Bills. They're down
four. It's third and one. Don't worry.
We're going to tush push our way over
the line. Did he get over the line? Did
he? Let's watch the replay. He's going
to go a little bit to the left. And we
got a push and a back. Another push. And
you, know what?, Even, the, officials, right
away, they're like, "Nah
>> we, have, an, officials, timeout, for, a
virtual measurement."
>> Let's, go, to, the, virtual, measurement.
Let's see. Did they GET IT? UH, THAT
STINGS. WE'RE JUST trusting this with
all our heart. Okay. Well, the tushbush
comes up again. It's fourth and inches
later on in the drive. This Jaguars fan
trying to get loud in looks and in
volume trying to cause a distraction.
This time they're just going to go right
over the center. We just need the
inches. We don't need anything more.
Let's get it done. But he stays on his
feet and they carry him all the way down
until
the one inches touchdown.
Huh? And this this referee's going to be
like, "Hey man, man, man, man." Nah, I
don't think so. This is such a funny
replay. He gets propped up there by
number 28
on Jacksonville. He comes in right here
at the back of the pile to tackle and
actually ends up standing Allen up and
now his lineman can grab him and just
walk him all the way. 30 kind of gave up
on the play, huh? He didn't realize
things were still going on. Look at the
feet. Just the daintiest of touches just
just because you got to
and then pulled down clearly short.
Clearly short. Now, because of the rule
of this play, they ruled it a touchdown
which stopped the clock, and that and
then they went and they found out it
wasn't a touchdown. So, there's a
10-second runoff, and they're going to
tell the coaches like, "We got to run
the clock 10 seconds unless you want to
use a timeout." And the Bills are like
"No, like we'd love more clock to roll
after we score. We want there to be
littleer time left." They go over to the
Jacksonville coach and he's like, "Yeah
all right. We'll take it." Yes. Yes. I
want the timeout. Yeah. Yeah. I called
for the timeout. Going like this. And
the refs were like, "It doesn't m No
no, no. It doesn't m No, no, no. Do you
want We're offering it to you. You don't
need to prove you called in the past."
And he's just like, "But uh Right.
That's what I'm saying it was." Yeah.
All right., So,, because, by, rule,, this
situation carries a 10-second runoff.
Jacksonville has called timeout in order
to avoid the 10-second runoff. That is
their third and final Charge timeout.
>> Great, speaking., Great, speaking., First
and goal. Allen says, "Let's just do the
same [ __ ] thing again. We need less
yards." And they do. This time he goes
to left, not over center again, but just
breezes on through. When you're up
against it, do the tush push. This is
the National Football League after all.
And that's the best play in the history
of plays. It's just we'll just do this
and it'll work as long as everyone's
committed and we got a big quarterback
that likes it. Extra point. It's down.
It's up. It is good. And Jackson bumps
his belly at it. I don't know what that
means. He's doing that cuz he's upset.
He's just having fun. He's just enjoying
the situation. There's a minute left on
the clock in Jacksonville. No, never
mind. Never mind on that. They could
have put together a drive. They could
have set up a field goal. It got
cancelled real quick. The Bills were
just like, "Nah, let's tip the ball."
Beautiful ball. Look at the guy behind
the ball in the black hat. He stands up
right here in the background with just
just a glimmer of hope like or maybe
fear he saw what was coming. And it's in
the hands. I think the defender got a
hand on it. And then this is sad. Just
the, you know, just his eyes looking at
it land into the opponent's
bread basket. Sad times. Bummer. Damn.
But hell of a season and they should be
proud. All right, let's move on to
Philadelphia where the start of the
fourth quarter opened up with a bang.
The ners run a trick play at the
15minute mark right off the gate. A
handoff, a reverse, and then a throw
deep wide open touchdown to tie the game
right away. But a flag on the play. So
celebration pause wants to spike the
ball. Can't spike it. COACH IS LIKE, "OH
[ __ ] WHAT'S THE FLAG? WHAT'S THE FLAG?"
>> THE, defense, was, all, the, play., It, was, a
touchdown.
>> Oh, yeah,, the, spike, is, back, on., Roughing
the passer on the defense. And number
98's like, "Dog, he's not a passer. I
thought he was running the ball. Hit him
pretty good. Knocked him down. Only
makes the play better for the NerS." And
here it is. Let's watch it again. Okay
hand off reverse and then he's just
wheeling out on the right side and wide
open. What a throw. What a play. What
good stuff. Here he is. I got the ball
now. Now I'm going to run it. Psych. I'm
throwing this [ __ ] And then he gets
hit. But that makes the throw even
better because he got hit. Coach loves
it. Yeah.
Oh,
you know what? Not bad. Little shrug
there like me. I'll hand it to him. Fans
not handing it to anyone. They're pretty
distraught. They're like, "What? That
sucked." But now the Eagles have the
ball. It's second and two. They're
putting together a drive. They're only
down one. They got a lot of time left.
They pick up the first down. And he's
like "What about that?" Yep. Okay.
That's roughing the passer, too. What?
What?
What? Me? What? What on me?
And uh yeah, I mean I if anything like
36 I don't even think he touched him. 36
touches him but it's still kind of
nothing. He is going down I guess. But
96. Did they call it on him? Cuz he just
you know he just had some fun rolling
over the pile. What
on me?
Fourth and four. They're going to go for
the field goal. The fans are like please
kick it in. They're getting hopeless.
And the kick is up and
good.
Second and five. Backed up. Kind of a
big play. Broken play. Got no one. Gets
through the line. Pump fakes. First
down. They're putting something together
here. Then he's going to hit his guy for
another first down. He's going to get up
and, celebrate., He's, going to, go, crying
face. He's going to wipe his tears. He's
going to shoot you. Third and goal now.
Brock's directing traffic. Come on. Come
on. COME ON. COME ON. COME ON. COME ON
DUDE. COME ON. I'm not going to throw it
to you now. I'm going to throw it to my
boy McCaffrey because he's going to be
open a little just inside run. Boom.
Easy like that. Ball throw it in the
air. Going to celebrate.
It doesn't get much easier. There's two
replays here. It's a pretty easy route.
He's just going to like dip and dodge
and then, hey, you're there and I'm
going to go underneath you and I'll
catch the ball. And then, you know
Brock just some fun footwork. Cool
camera angle. Just waiting, waiting.
steps up, hits his guy in their sleep. I
think they make that play. Doesn't mean
they're not excited about it. Doesn't
mean he's not pumped up. Dang
that was easy for them. Now they get to
add the extra point. That's how the
sport of football goes. But uhoh, he
misses it. So it remains a four-point
lead. No. Why are we missing extra
points? No.
They're down four. Two minutes 25
seconds left. They got to put together a
drive. Hurts. Middle. Oh, that hurts.
Oh, look at this ball. Boom. Right into
and out of the hands. No.
But it's all right. Fourth and five. He
goes to the tight end. They make up for
it. They get the first down. First and
10. He says, "I'll just throw it to
Smith." He didn't drop it and we'll hit
Smith again. Okay, another first down.
They're rolling. They're downfield now.
He's got to keep that one. He loses a
yard. That's not good. Second and 11.
Scrambling. Scrambling. Scram. Throws it
out of bounds. Uh-oh. Third and 11. 48
seconds left. This is a big play. Need a
catch. No way. He was going to Smith
because Brown was dropping the ball and
then Smith drops one and Oh no. Another
look. It's just the same exact thing. It
looks so similar. Oh
now it's fourth and 11 and we just got
to go back to the tight end. We trust
him the most. He's triple covered. It
doesn't work out. Yay.
Let's go.
Sad. Sad. Two different emotions for the
two different teams playing in the game
who had two different results. Fun
action on the first play of the fourth
quarter in the Rams Panthers game as
well. And it's uh just this hit which
they call unnecessary roughness on land
man. Uh and he's like what? Why? What
are we talking about? And he does turn
to run up field. He's not out of bounds.
I guess they thought he was going out of
bounds. It's a hard hit for sure, but it
wasn't head-to-head contact. Again, I'm
not an expert in the rules. What do you
guys think? Was this is this a flag or
is that just football? You know who
doesn't think it was a flag? Head coach.
He's like that that's nothing.
I don't that's nothing. Well, the Rams
are going to punt in the ball. And this
is why this game got interesting because
they blocked the punt. They busted
through. They blocked the punt on the
edge there on the outside. just gonna
barrel through them and get both hands
on the ball. Block the punt. They turn
it over right there. They got great
field. Just watch this. Just boom. That
had to hurt the fingers, I think. Both
hands though, the right hand and the
left hand. Like seven different fingers.
That's a lot of fingers to get on a
ball. He's fired up about it. Puts his
team in great position. They don't need
to work that hard. They're in touchdown
range. And on third down, Bryce Young
throws a perfect ball to the corner of
the end zone. Touchdown. Panthers take
the lead. Are they going to do this
thing? The fans like, "Whoa, are we
going to do this thing?" Caught the
touchdown. Slides on his back. Threw the
touchdown. Slides on his back. Happy as
ever. Would you like to hold my hand?
Yes. And then Hub up. But Rams
Stafford,
they say twominute drill, let's have
some fun. It became a bit clinical. It
was just like, I'll throw the ball, you
catch the ball, and then eventually
touchdown on that play, which was
awesome. Watch the replays here. Eyes
are locked in and engaged. The ball is
going to hit him in the backside. He
turns, grabs it, keeps his feet in
bounds, his knees, hit the pylon. We got
pylon cam coming up, which is just
everybody's favorite. What a beautiful
play. It was a nice drive. Like I said
it was kind of clinical. Kind of left
too much time on the clock. Never mind
just joking. They win it. Bears were
down 21-6
in their fourth quarter. That's a lot of
points. If you can do the math, comment
it below for the people that can. And
you know the QB is getting the ball
stripped. Things aren't going their way.
We got hands all over the face. Doesn't
phase him at all. Gets to the QB. Gets
the ball out. The left hand got it out
actually. Great play. Nice stuff. So
Bears fans are thinking, "All right, I
mean I guess we'll take the field goal
and 21 to9 now, but that doesn't fire us
up that much. We're we'll take it, you
know, but it still felt Let's go Bears.
Come on, Bear. Let's go. Let's go.
Then they're going to get the ball back.
12 minutes 40 seconds. They field the
punt. They run it up and they're going
to QB is going to keep it. He's going to
run for the first down. Stays inbounds.
Then they were going to throw the ball.
And now we're getting a little clinical.
We're going to throw it again on second
down. Hit our guy again. We're going to
throw it again for the touchdown. No.
Second down. We throw it to Swift. He'll
just make something happen. Oh [ __ ] QB
Williams got a block for him. He's like
"Maybe I shouldn't be blocking for you."
Next, next one. We'll just hand it off
to you. Swift your ass in there. Great.
Now, Bears fans are like, "Woohoo!" ALL
RIGHT, LET'S GO. LET'S GO, KID. GIVE ME
A high five. High fives. High fives. I'm
so cold.
Let's go.
Let's go. We're in this thing. The
Packers respond pretty quickly uh with
they break two tackles. They get in
there and they just say, "No, it's not
going to happen. We'll just keep
scoring." And suddenly the smiles, they
turn into frowns for the Bears fans
because it's like, "Ah, we thought
something was going to happen." But then
the extra point is yanked. No good. And
Chicago's like, "All right, that helps.
That's one less point we got to chase
down." Fourth and three. They snap it
over the head. That is trouble. But
actually, there's a flag on the offense
first.
So, that's actually great news because
the bot snap is worse. And now it's
fourth and eight, which isn't great, but
better than the fourth down just being
that bot snap. So, fourth and eighth. A
new life. And he is going to This is
such a good throw.
Finds his guy. Watch how offbalance
Williams is here. Run to your left. gets
on the right foot and throws it with his
hips totally open as he's falling.
Nothing to put behind it besides torque
and arm strength and hits his guy. Then
we got a third and 10. So another big
play. You need it. Check down number 25.
He's zigging and zagging all the way
down to the eight yd line. Second and
goal. Four minutes left. Let's find the
end zone again. Bam.
Now the Bears are dancing. Now it's
real. Look at this ball right in caught.
Unlike the Eagles games when they were
dropping them, they say, "We'll go for
two points because you missed your kick
and we'll get that." And now
they're shredding the cheese heads.
That's gross. I don't know what you do
if you're sitting around this guy. Uh if
he's uh doing it over like cameraman
should zoom out, pan out. Show me where
that cheese is landing. I need to know.
Let's go, Bears.
Yep. Cold but happy cuz now it's
three-point game. Three-point game. And
they held him to a field goal. So
they're going to get the ball back. It's
going to be uh still a one-sore game.
They're down three. They're like, but
maybe he misses it because he yanked his
last one. And then what does he do? He
overcorrects
and pushes that one. No good. [ __ ]
OH,
three-way hug. High fives galore. Let's
go.
Can't believe it. That stinks. Now
three-point game. Williams has done it.
Swift grabs it. He's staying in bounds
for way longer than anyone thought he
would on that play. And again, we're
going downfield. We got our guy. Easy
peasy. It's getting cold. Father son
hug. God love it. The father-son hug.
Gotta love it. You gotta love it, you
know. You just gotta love it.
PEACE. LET'S GO. LET'S GO. LET'S GO.
Let's go, Bears. Let's go, Bears.
Oh my god. The woman on the right is
covering her mouth cuz she's so cold and
he's shirtless and probably intoxicated.
That helps. And then the Packers, they
do the thing the Eagles did and they
just drop passes and then they get
stripped and their drive just doesn't
look good. It's third and 15. There's
five seconds left. They bobble that.
It's on the ground. Broken play. We got
to get this all the way to the end zone
for the Hail Mary to win it. Keep going.
Keep running, guys. It needs to be in
the touch in the touchdown area. That's
what he says. He's a football guy. Needs
to be in the touchdown area. It's not.
The Bears win. They were down a lot.
Souvenir. Dick is celebrating in the
stands. They're filming. That's a good
game and good weather and everyone
agrees. The Steelers were only down four
points in the fourth quarter of their
game. So, we were looking at another
potential awesome finish here. But the
Texans said, "No, we'll take the ball
and we'll get a big man touchdown and
we'll put this whole thing to bed." And
that's what they did at the start of it.
This shot of the coaches running like
just like, you know, childhood best
friends celebrating in the in the front
yard on the sidewalk. It is very cute.
It's a very cute shot of all the coaches
running. Go B6. Go. It's cute shot. You
have to admit it. It's a cute shot of
the coaches all hanging out. Rogers got
his helmet twisted on him and then the
ball comes out
of breath but smiling. Rogers thinking
"H probably no, not good." Look at this
little stutter step and then just tosses
his man down. Watch. Let's go back. What
he does is he throws the shimmy right
here and as su and then gets the
footwork all botched. Steelers he's on
both feet flatfooted and he just pushes
him back like sumo. Both feet stay again
but he's he's not in a stable position.
Just goes down and then you know he
didn't really get the the strip but he
would have got the sack maybe. Anyway
he saw the open ball, runs it down. You
know what?, Here's, him, talking, about, he's
like I WAS LIKE, "GOT IT." Threw him
down. And I'm like, "Oh." After I get
the sack, I see the ball and I'm where
is it? Where's Give me that. Give me
that. Grab it. And then I run. And his
teammate next to him is just getting
oxygen and like, "Nice, dude. Nice." And
here you go. Okay, so did the move. I
threw him down and then I get the sack
and after the sack, see the ball. I'm
looking, where's it? Where's it? Where's
it? I grab it and then run. It's a great
retelling of the story. Steelers fans
they didn't feel good afterwards. They
were hands on face. Tomlin was, you
know, taking in his final looks. Rogers
was taking in his final looks. And, you
know, a nice a nice wave goodbye.
Goodbye. You guys are retiring and
leaving. Won't be here anymore. Okay.
The Patriots and Chargers game was not
close. It was 16-3 in the final two
minutes, but there's a fun moment, so we
got to include it. Chargers looking to
do anything. It's fourth and nine. Pats
send everyone. 97 wraps him up. Who was
who was guarding him? Huh? He gets the
sack. He ends it. He's getting
celebrated. He's hitting himself in the
head. You know, didn't get enough
contact on
Harbaugh.
Didn't like it at all. Get out of my
way, dog. I'm trying to get to your QB.
Boom.
And then after that, he hit Okay. Just
swoop by the lineman. He hit the QB. He
hit himself in the head. Still craving
more contact. Gives him a little
headbutt right to the kisser. Coach
doesn't even notice. Frabel doesn't
notice at all. He's like, "Good hug.
Daddy liked that." And then he's like
"Oh, wait. Oh, oh, wait. Daddy's
bleeding. Wow. Hey, the guy got me. He
got me in the lip. Nice stuff, man. I
love it. That's what you did to me." And
then his assistant coach is like, "Let
me get Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. Let me
get it. Let me get Yeah. Good. Want me
to get it? No, I I I'm kind of enjoying
the taste. No. Okay, I'll clean it up
though. Okay, thank you. D
you know, he could do that himself.
He could have been like, I'll take it
but sometimes you want another man to
wipe the blood off your lip. Uh, so I
don't know. That was a longass video.
Uh, if you watched it and you enjoyed
it, thank you. DraftKings sponsored it.
Thank them. Appreciate you guys. Goodbye
and farewell.
