What Happened
In Game 5 of the World Series, New York Yankees starting pitcher Garrett Cole takes the mound looking dominant. He breezes through the first four innings, holding the Los Angeles Dodgers scoreless and maintaining a 5-0 lead. However, the fifth inning is where everything unravels for the Yankees. Kiké Hernandez leads off the inning with a single for the Dodgers. Next, Tommy Edmond hits a fly ball that Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge misses, allowing Hernandez to reach second base. This uncharacteristic error from Judge opens the floodgates, as the Dodgers load the bases with no outs. "The crowd is in shock, Cole's wife watching on with a worried expression," the narrator explains. According to reports, the Dodgers' scouting strategy was to "make the Yankees play baseball" and force them to execute fundamentals, knowing the team tends to prioritize talent over the little things. The Yankees fail to record an out on the next two plays, as first baseman Anthony Rizzo and pitcher Garrett Cole miscommunicate on a routine ground ball. "This is incredible," the narrator exclaims. "Unbelievable. The Yankees are self-inflicting harm just like the Dodgers' scouting report predicted." With the bases still loaded and two outs, the Dodgers' Gavin Lux steps to the plate. Cole manages to strike him out, but then faces superstar Shohei Ohtani. The Japanese phenom also goes down swinging, keeping the score 5-0 in favor of the Yankees. However, Mookie Betts follows with a ground ball that the Yankees again fail to convert into an out. "This is the worst inning in World Series history," the narrator laments, as the Dodgers take advantage of the Yankees' miscues to tie the game at 5-5. The stage is now set for Freddy Freeman, who has already hit a grand slam in the series. The Dodgers elect to pitch him carefully, working the edges of the strike zone. The tension builds as the at-bat unfolds, with the Yankees fans growing increasingly nervous about the prospect of Freeman delivering another big blow.

is incredible I went and I scoured for
other plays balls just like this I mean
we had one in the first inning mooki as
well uh and that one was a little more
slower and Rizzo just came in and got it
and on this one you can see Cole breaks
on the left and Cole points and says you
take it you take it Cole never points
here has to stop muki's the same speed
basically you know his closing steps
faster because he knows he got a shot I
found a bunch here Rizzo's closer to the
bag in the first one this is the overlay
but basically the same spot he's able to
run forward and get it not let it come
to him this is an identical play Vasquez
two years ago put a ball an identical
spot Cole on the mound Rizzo at first I
was just I needed to just find all the
comparisons I could and on this one you

and Rizzo on the top just slows down
secures it and flips it so he so Rizzo
is thinking this is what's going to
happen again like I'm just going to

fans are nervous come on come on because
