but it falls short that's not what the video is about watch the base runner on first he's

and Connecticut's like no I'm in the middle pay attention to me runner on third is like take a
bigger lead go go go they don't know what to do the second baseman literally doesn't know what to
do he runs at the kid he could tag him if he makes two more steps but he's so scared the runner on
third is then going to run home so he just tries to call time from the middle of the infield and
then he's shrugging like what do I do I was never coached what to do and the runner goes to second
and the pitcher's like what and the runner on third is like it's still live boys I might go
and coach is like all right let's get back now so now it's second and third so the single became a
double and they are licking their chops the next batter comes up

and the runner uh the batter he's halfway and they have no idea what to do they throw it to
the pitcher who walks off the mound and tries to call time and then the runner goes to second

comes out to have a mound visit because he's the coach

words he was saying at all and he also didn't give them any practical advice how to deal with
this he just said make the play the kids don't know how to make the play coach come on I hate
to be rude to a Little League coach but this was disappointing it happens again so now he runs at
the guy oh my goodness and then he uh all right so look what happens here and I don't blame the
kids at all they're not they haven't been coached they don't work on pickles it's blowing my mind
he runs at the kid he runs him back to first the kid puts his foot on
first base the pitcher's on the mound beautiful throw the ball to the pitcher call time right away
throws the ball a pitcher the pitcher walks off the mound you can't call time unless you're on
the mound he walks off the mound and tries to call time and then the kid takes his foot back off
now he runs him back to first base they try to call time there they don't know the rules because
the coach has never told him that which is crazy to me and now he's running the second and they
kids have no idea what to do and the Connecticut team is coming off like bullies
but they're really not doing anything that isn't completely coachable and defendable
these kids from South Dakota just have never done a pickle drill like all you have to do
this second baseman needs to walk him all the way back to first slowly keep walking all the way back
to first base and then when you're there and the he steps foot on first base throw it to the pitcher
who stays on the mound you call time
or if they're halfway to second throw it a second and get the out
so next time if there's any little league teams out there that your your coach isn't teaching you
the basic rules of rundown drills and and when to call time I hope hope you saw this video

don't take the extra base when you're up 10 9 runs in the second last inning they're not bullies for
