Lacrosse hidden ball trick, a breakdown
What Happened
In an indoor lacrosse matchup between the Rochester Knighthawks and the New York Riptide, the crowd witnesses a rare and exciting "hidden ball trick" play. With the score close and the game on the line, Rochester's Connor Kiernan, the team's assistant captain, demonstrates his craftiness and quick thinking. As the action unfolds, Kiernan initially loses possession of the ball but quickly regains it, faking a pass to a teammate. The unsuspecting defender, as well as the referee and even Kiernan's own teammates, are all fooled by the deception. Kiernan seizes the opportunity, winding up for a shot while still secretly holding the ball. The defender, Number 3, is caught off guard, thinking the ball has been passed. Kiernan's teammate, the team captain, dutifully moves to position himself in front of the "incoming shot," unaware that Kiernan still has possession. This subtle misdirection further confuses the defense, allowing Kiernan the space to unleash his shot unimpeded. As the ball finds the back of the net, the crowd erupts in applause, having witnessed a rare and masterful display of lacrosse trickery. Kiernan's 33rd goal of the season, this one coming via the hidden ball trick, showcases his skills and quick thinking under pressure. The announcer, clearly impressed by the play, remarks on Kiernan's Irish heritage, suggesting that his cunning and creativity may have roots in his cultural background. The successful execution of the hidden ball trick, a rarity in the sport of lacrosse, has left the spectators and commentators alike thoroughly entertained and impressed.

had never seen a hidden ball trick in
lacrosse didn't know they were really a
thing and i was wondering how could this
happen what is it so i watched the game
rochester versus new york and indoor
lacrosse and they're passing around and
it gets bobbled a little bit he picks it
up he gives it to his buddies buddy
winds up shoots uh oh no ball oh [ __ ]
ball was somewhere else
so that was cool
so i needed to slow mo this and then i
thought you know maybe other people
would be interested in this because
they've never seen a hidden ball trick
in lacrosse either so i'm gonna make a
little i'm gonna walk you through what
happened here it's a short one number 92
i don't know if this is lacrosse players
is this a common play do you plan this
out do you just know this happens
because number 92 has the ball and he
tosses it up and his teammate
reaches for it but 92 grabs it again and
instead of being like hey dude what the
[ __ ] are you gonna fake pass it to me
i was really interested in scoring he
rolls with the punches perfectly does
the fake wind up and shoot
and look
nobody
nobody knows that this dude 92 still has
the ball
except maybe one person
knew for a second the ref didn't know
you can see the the ref he looks the
goalie looks
and now he gets to shoot from up top and
even the teammates they don't seem to
know only him and him
unless they're all part of it imagine if
he hit the goalie and missed that would
have sucked
i think one of the guys on defense knew
about it because otherwise it's a really
weird move this guy assistant captain
now the white team rochester is there on
a penalty kill so i only got four guys
so you you'd think the box play but he
this guy seems to know that he still has
the ball as of now
because he follows him
otherwise it would be really weird for
him to switch off the ball man
at this point and send the captain and
be like you go stand in front of that
shot which the captain thinks is
happening he's like oh [ __ ] i gotta go
get whacked and get scared and number
three he's still looking at the ball
right but then i think everyone reacts
to this fake shot so number three
he's like oh wait i got tricked
he had the ball
and then the ball goes and he's like
nah i had it [ __ ] i think i i think i
had it
damn
sending the captain in
to just
you go in front of that shot made me
laugh
it's like oh okay okay all right damn ow
so what a play i wonder if that's a play
they run and they teach or they'd
practice there's his 33rd goal this
season way to go
connor kiernan
he's got irish in his blood
and that's maybe the most obvious thing
anyone's ever said
