Phil Salt smashes every ball of the over for a boundary, a breakdown
What Happened
Phil Salt steps to the crease, ready to face the first ball of the over from the opposing bowler, Shepard. On the first delivery, Salt calmly caresses the ball through the off-side for a boundary, the crowd erupting in cheers. Undeterred, Shepard tries to mix up his pace, sending down a quicker delivery, but Salt is unfazed, effortlessly clearing the infield and dispatching the ball for a towering six. Shepard, sensing he needs to change his approach, tries a short-pitched delivery, but Salt is equal to the task, swaying away from the bounce and delicately guiding the ball over the keeper's head for another four runs. The fielders are left shaking their heads, unable to contain the onslaught from the rampaging batsman. Determined to regain control, Shepard resorts to varying his lengths, but Salt is quickly onto the adjustments, seamlessly shifting his weight and timing the ball to perfection, sending it racing to the boundary for yet another four. The crowd is in a frenzy, reveling in the exhibition of power and touch from the batsman. Shepard, his confidence visibly shaken, tries a full-toss, but Salt is ruthless, slamming the ball through the covers for yet another boundary. The scoreboard ticks over rapidly, as Salt's well-timed shots continue to find the gaps in the field. As the over reaches its conclusion, Shepard is left searching for answers, with Salt having clobbered every delivery for a boundary, his eyes laser-focused and his footwork impeccable. "I'm just reading the length well and adjusting my feet accordingly," Salt says, his grin betraying the enjoyment he's taking from the onslaught. The opposing captain looks on, exasperated, as his bowler trudges back to his mark, knowing he has no answer for the onslaught he has just witnessed. Phil Salt has well and truly stamped his authority on the proceedings, leaving the crowd and his teammates in awe of his virtuoso performance.

pace a ton and goes for the legs the wickets and Phil Salt says that's fine I can adjust
sense it straight down the ground for a six oh dancing so now you've given up a four and you've
given up a six the first ball was 67 miles per hour the next one was 81 miles per hour
he says I got to do something completely different he's just gonna bang a short ball into the pitch
and just change it up so Salt just doesn't get comfortable and Phil Salt says oh

he's like you son of a bitch oh my goodness what's going on oh four four four dancing dancing
dancing having lots of fun I love this uh this is crazy to me he recognizes that it's gonna be short
and allows himself to stop his legs and just stand still and then you know do I just let this go over
my head and then he realizes actually boop just kisses it
over the keeper and to the boundary for four that's to me such restraint all right so now
he's got a four a six a four and Shepard's like what do I throw now he goes back to the first

length again trying to bounce it and this time he just switches his hip
around and goes that way what side of the field you want me to hit it look at look at
Shepard's face just like uh help what do I do I'm trying a lot crowd is thinking the same thing
he's just reading the length of the delivery so well because look at his eyes he is that is
laser focus keep your eye on the ball that's a saying in baseball and in cricket and his ability
to adjust his feet for the length not step out like he's
back there lets it travel and then spins on it so now can he finish the over with another boundary
